K-12 Educational Leadership

Purpose
The K-12 Educational Leadership series of workshops addresses the developmental needs of 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students, within the context of both public and private school academic curricula and cultures. Skip brings to the K-12 classroom his extensive experience as a leadership and management development specialist. He brings the “voice of business” to the classroom and ensures that middle school and high school students develop a vision for their future success and fully understand and are prepared for the transition from school to work.

Overview
The workshop is normally conducted at the school’s library or meeting room. The goals of the workshop include:
• A definition, vision, and mission for educational leadership that is achievable for students at all levels.
• An overview of the relationship between leadership and culture and a drawing of the linkages between school experiences and experiences in the workplace.
• The presentation of six leadership dimensions that all successful leaders must master.
